Stay alert when walking and cycling - I will watch out fo all other traffic around me and be aware of my surrondings

Stop and Look Left, Right, and Left again before I cross the street

Wear bright colors when cycling during the day so I can be seen

Take extra care when walking or bicycling when it is dark, and wear reflective gear and carry or wear a light or bike lights

Walk and Ride Right

Walk on a sidewalk if one is present. Without a sidewalk, walk on the edge of the road facing oncoming traffic

Cycle in the same direction as traffic whether on the sidewalk or road

Stay 5 steps back from the curb when I’m waiting for a bus

Stop, Look and Listen before crossing railroad tracks, and never play on or near the tracks

Wear a properly fitting helmet when bicycling
