The Northern Virginia Regional Commission, in support of the Share Virginia Roads Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety campaign, developed this dashboard to explore Traffic Records Electronic Data System (TREDS) for bicycle and pedestrian injuries and fatalities between January 2014 and June 2018. As soon as more recent data is made available, NVRC will update maps and figures. Data was provided by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.

This dashboard shows whether alcohol and distraction was involved, deaths, injuries, and type of vehicle involved. It also shows that many of the crashes occurred in the evening when there are lower light and dark conditions.
